Readable text without pretending every recording is a subtitle job.
The transcript remains useful even when a provider does not return word-level timing or speaker diarization. CastTranscript shows the capabilities that actually came back.
Built for listening back
Correct the words at the moment they were spoken.
Click a timestamp to hear the source, repair names and technical terms, and keep each correction attached to its place in the recording. The result is a working document rather than a wall of generated text.
The original stays private and is prepared for a batch transcription pass.
Rename people and check uncertain terms against playback.
Copy it, export TXT or keep structure in Markdown.
MP3 transcription for real work
Use the text after the conversion finishes.
An MP3 to text converter should preserve enough context to make the result trustworthy. CastTranscript keeps timestamps and speaker labels alongside the editable transcript when the selected speech model supplies them.
Use the finished text for research interviews, podcast production, searchable archives, articles or internal notes. When the next step needs captions instead, verified sentence cues can also be exported as SRT or WebVTT.

MP3 to text questions
Which audio files can I convert to text?
CastTranscript accepts MP3, M4A and WAV along with other common browser-readable audio formats, up to two gigabytes or three hours.
Can I listen while correcting the transcript?
Yes. The editor keeps playback and timestamps connected to the text so you can review a sentence in context.
Will the transcript identify speakers?
Speaker labels appear when the selected model returns diarization. You can rename those labels, and missing speaker data is shown as a capability limitation.
Can an MP3 transcript become an SRT file?
Yes when verified sentence timing is available. Untimed text is exported as TXT or Markdown rather than receiving invented subtitle cues.
