The detail worth keeping
Nora (Host)We kept coming back to the same question.
Maya (Guest) It is usually the detail you almost edit out. That is the exact line the listener remembers.
Nora (Host) Let's move it into the opening chapter and preserve the natural rhythm before the music swells.

Questions, answered
Audio to text questions
How do I convert audio to text?
Upload the audio file, choose the language or leave it on auto-detect, and start the transcript. You can review it against playback in the editor and export it as text, Markdown or subtitles.
Which file types are supported?
MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC and other common audio formats, plus MP4, MOV and WebM video, up to 2 GB or 3 hours per file.
Is my audio private?
Yes. Transcripts are only visible in your workspace and are never published. Video sources are deleted after 24 hours and audio after a short retention window.
Can I get timestamps?
Yes. Every line has a timestamp, and word-level timing is shown when the speech model returns it. Subtitle exports use the same timing.
How accurate is it?
Clear recordings with one speaker at a time come out very clean. Heavy background noise, crosstalk and strong accents reduce accuracy, which is why the editor makes it quick to check and correct lines.
Can I transcribe a podcast without the file?
Yes. Paste an Apple Podcasts, Spotify or RSS link on the podcast transcript page and we fetch the public episode audio for you.
